The GESA Colonoscopy Recertification Program Steering Committee is appointed initially for the period until June 30 2018 by the President of GESA. The Committee works with the GESA Executive to oversee all areas of the project and its implementation. The members of the Committee are appointed as individuals and bring a range of experience in both area of practice (Physicians, Surgeons, Colorectal Surgeons and more) and location (East Coast to West Coast, urban and rural practice).

 

The role of the Steering Committee is to:

  • oversee the implementation of the program;
  • set and review standards for recertification;
  • determine and oversee the process of recertification;
  • review, develop and deliver the education and training program in partnership with the existing GESA National Endoscopy Training Program (NETI) and
  • facilitate communication with stakeholders.
